Mr. Jamal Malaikah, President and CEO of NATPET, has been appointed to GPCA’s Board of Directors replacing Ahmed Al Mheiri, CEO of ChemaWEyaat.
The seat taken by Chemaweeyat became vacant when the company dropped its membership effective January 2017.
Mr. Malaikah was elected during GPCA’s Annual General Assembly meeting which took place on 13 March in The Oberoi, Dubai.
Currently the President and COO for National Petrochemical Industrial Company (NATPET) in Saudi Arabia, his previous experience includes Vice President for Marketing and Sales at NATPET; Managing Director, Copak, Egypt; Senior General Manager, Saudi Carton Company; and Xenel Industries, where he worked on the development of several projects including petrochemicals.
In addition to GPCA, Mr. Malaikah’s sits on the board of director of the following organizations: Al Ahli Takaful Company, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Natpet Schulman, a Saudi JV company, and Petrochemical Manufacturers Committee in Saudi Arabia.
He obtained B.Sc. Degree in Industrial Management from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, in 1981.
