Brief company profile
The Kuwait Aromatics Company (Karo) is the first aromatics company in Kuwait. It fully owns KPPC, an aromatics production company with a state-of-the-art facility commissioned in 2010.
It produces paraxylene, benzene, heavy aromatics, light naphtha and a wide range of other energy and feedstock products. PX capacity is recognized at 868,000 tonnes/year.
Karo also own 57.5% of the Kuwait Styrene Company, which achieved a production rate of over 500,000 tonnes/year styrene monomer. The plant is located in Kuwait.
Karo is exploring options of increasing existing capacities and adding new facilties. Its main targets are Asia and the Indian sub-continent.
