Frank Lechner joined Coperion in 2001 working as a process engineer after studying chemical engineering at the University in Nuremberg.

After the role of a senior process engineer, in 2008 he got responsible for the team engineering plastics focusing on PET processing, virgin polymers and devolatilization applications.

In 2010 he was appointed as Head of Process Technology for Compounding & Extrusion and in 2017 he got responsible for Research & Development.

Since 2020 he is globally responsible for Process Technology, Research & Development and the product management for Material Handling, Compounding & Extrusion and Feeding systems.
